Bird adventure

Dad took me to feed some bird and it was great. I run after him and laughed when he run away. He liked the pieces of bread I gave him!

Mum went to concert the other night with some of her friends. One of the friends works at a golf club and meet them and they gave him some free tickets for the concert! We had some fun eventhough we only recognised one of the songs! We where the youngest in the crowed with most people aged 55 and up cheering on their idols! Long time ago they had a gig at the famous ......... hippy /peace festival. (my memory is filled with anatomy and medical terms right now, no place for other things!?)
Anyone know them??????

Strolling along the beach!

Hi! We are out for a little walk today just because it's perfect weather, not to hot not to cold. I hold on to the pram in case of bikers and garbage trucks, there are many "proffessional" bikers here and they bike in very high speed. But now and then I see a nice gate I want to open or some stairs I want to climb so then I ran off..... today dad joined us for a play with the soccer ball and eating egg sandwich! I gave a bird small small pieces of my sandwich! Tomorrow is childcare again and next friday mum sits her big exam!!!!! After that we have Christmas!!!

Wow a garbage truck, with blinking lights and very noisy! I better hold on to the gate!

Another party!

Today there was another Christmas party at my childcare center. We all planned to go but when it was time I fell asleep on the couch!!!! Busy morning when mum got me a stove protector and a gate to the kitchen. She hasn't put the gate up yet because it's a bit tricky.... I love doors and gates of all kind so I hope mum let me play with this one and that it keeps me away from the stove/hot/sharp things in the kitchen!

I am on the phone!

I can't help imitating mum and dad when they are on the phone. I either use a fake phone or my hand and push it into my ear or back of my head and then I can talk for a while.

I really sound serious with the right pauses and the right gaps between the conversation with me and my phone. I even nod now and then and say oh and yeah!

I meet Santa!

Saturday morning and we went for our first Christmas Picnic. I had a lot of fun playing at the park with my friends and then after a while a big scary guy shows up. He gave all kids some candy (dad ate mine!?) and then I got to sit close up to him and he gave me a gift! He was so scary that I started to cry....... I prefered to keep myself in a good distance from him!

I wanna be a wallaby.

Wallabies is the name of the countries National Rugby Team. Cute t-shirt but no Bella is NOT going to play rugby! To dangerous for her even though mum did play rugby once...... 2 games 2 tacles and that was it! Mum had real problem catching the ball because after it touches the ground it bounces away in a totaly unpredicted way!?

Mum water the plants and I play with the water! I like to help mum watering the plants with my yellow cup. I poor half of the water on the plants and half on myself :)

What a thrilling ending to an era!

Our favourite won!!!! Counting the votes kept us up all evening and on edge..... even more interesting then the Eurovision Song Contest!? (det ni!?). We have never followed any election campaing as much as this one and there have been a few times we both voted in our countries(get flashbacks from last USA election). Wine, beer and political talkes widened our smiles more and more the further into the evening we got :)

Today we went for a brunch at a Greek-Swedish-Australian family (fantastic food!) who are going to emigrate to Sweden! Their little girl in Bellas age played loudly but happily together! They wanted some info about setting up a life in Sweden with a little child so we had a lot of ideas and info to give! Now we go swimming..... see yah!

Voting 2007!!!

We where very lucky to become citizens just in time for voting in the election this year. So at 8.00 we stood in line outside the masonic hall (freemansion) eager to vote!!! We got one small piece of paper to number 1-8 which we wanted to represent in the house of parliament then a 1 meter x 10 centimeter long paper!?to pick one of the big parties or arrange around 30 parties in order of interest!

John Howard in Liberal party has been in charge of the country for more then 10 years! his opposite Kevin Rudd in Labour is the one that can challenge Howards leadership today! other interesting parties is the Green party, Family first, Independent party ......

We look forward in following the voting result tonight on TV and hope it will bring in some fresh new ideas to politic here! Howard seems very tired and don't answears any questions very well and he is going to retire very soon! Kevin is very clear when asked questions. He is dorky but I think he is funny! I don't think it's healthy for any country to have the same leader for more then 10 years.

After voting we went to Starbucks and a playground where we saw an airplane writing KEV 4 PM (prime minister), one can only hope!

Friday morning!

We woke up early this morning probably because it's not childcare today! Yesterday we had to wake Bella up in the morning and she still wanted to sleep.... we put her favourite DVD on but still a snozzy baby.... after a while she did wake up and because we have flexitime in the morning we took an extra 30 min to relax and have brekky!

This morning when we could have sleept in I got woken by 6.00 by a big cuddle and an empty bottle in my head!? and Bella wanted to play!!!! Wide awake! So we did! Coffee was on and after some porridge and fruits we went to the playground to get ride of some energy!

It's fun at the playground now because I don't have to watch Bella all the time. She climbes up/down the stairs unaided and crawl and sit at the slide by herself! Puh, as long as I am there to encourage playing!!! She is so tall now!!! She grows like a.... baby/toddler!?

Travelling with Sunshine!

Travelling with our little sunshine on the airplane was a scare, very stressy experience.... she didn't want to sit in our lap or have the belt on! When we tried to calm her during take off and landing she got panic and just screamed climbing from dad to mum over and over again. At one point she bite mum in her leg and mum screamed and then she tried to bite her nose and breast.....dad took Bella into the bathroom the only place she liked and didn't scream in... at one point a flight attendant came up to me and said: "your husband is in the toilett and your daughter is sleeping, he will stay in there untill landing". I went in to give him a blankett and a fresh bottle and couldn't stop smiling! Big daddy filling up the whole toilett (dad is rather tall 2 m!) with Bella sleeping in hes arm! He only stayed for 20 minutes then he came out with sleeping Bella and she only woke up after we landed and dads trousers got stuck in one seat and he fell. Luckely another man catched him and Bella, but Bella woke up!!! Steve was a bit shaky after the flight experience.....

Mum in her new rashguard. She has burned her shoulder really bad a few times and need to respect the sun a bit better! So from now on it's rash guard for the whole family!

Saturday evening!

The evening started at 17.00 with barbecue on the pool side. Mum had a lot of meat, sallad, potatoe and a fancy cosmopolitan drink while dad and Bella had some veggie sallad. Then after a while the big show with polynesian dancers started. It was a great show that entertained for hours with dancing and singing and playing with the kids! Bella feel asleep totaly exhausted!

Swimming!

Why have one cookie when you can have 4 at the same time? Look at my arm floater! I like to have them on in water or off water. This morning back home I asked mum to put them on my arms just after a nappy change. So I had a nappy and the arm floater reading my book!

Dad is so fun he put me on the slide like the big kids and I enjoyed slipping down the slide even if it was only for 1 meter or so. Next time I'm gonna do like the big kids by myself jumping on the slide backwards/forwards/upside down.... that will be even more fun I bet!

Mum and I heat up in the hot tub (spa) between the swims in the other 4 pools!

Dad teels me to sit down before jumping in the water. We had to exercise this a lot because I just ran into the water....which made them a bit nervous! But I am a good listener.

Playground!

Dad tries to encourage Bella to move further forward to the slide but no Bella thinks she is close enough for daddy to help her down the slide..... looked so funny to se S in the mouth of the "treeman" reaching for Bella!!!

Today was around 34 degrees, very humid and hot. The sail that gives shade over the playground was absolutely perfect. Mum loves those sail because it gives a natural shaded light. Here I am eating some pureed fruits to get my energy level up! It's yummy.

Mum and I are looking at some kids going down another slide. We look a bit confused!?

Wading pool.

This pool was good because Bella could run around in it by herself. The water reached her up to her chest. Because wet kids are a bit slippery and Bella runs very quick mum used a walking harness in the pool just to feel safe if she would take off or dive! many mums/dad wonder where we got the harness from because they too wanted some extra "handels" on their young not water safe slippery kids.

Here I come running in the water....
